The Student Hub

Welcome to our Student Hub page

Here you will find information on the support services provided by the Seventh-day Adventist church in Bristol.

Read the amazing story how the 'Adopt a Student' Hub came about, in the News.

What is the 'Adopt a Student' Hub?

The 'Adopt A Student' Hub is a friendly non-judgemental community initiative to bring together university students, especially international students who are struggling to integrate in a British culture.

The programme aims to offer the following services:

1) A welcome environment for students

2) An opportunity to meet other students

3) Provide a free goody bag

4) Support/coaching/mentoring

5) Provide a listening ear

6) Find out about services in and around Bristol

7) Chaplaincy service, as required

Students are encouraged to drop in for a chat, have a cup of tea, a light snack or just take advantage of a quiet space in which to study.

The project has the full support of Bristol District Pastor Royston Smith, who will provide Chaplaincy service as required. Students will also be able to find out about local faith communities and services, and meet other students and share experiences.

For freshers or new students, it will be a chance to learn from other post graduates, get professional advice, and gain tips on how to cope with university life.

THE HUB IS OPEN EVERY WEDNESDAY FROM 12.00 TO 3.00 PM, AT BRISTOL CENTRAL CHURCH, ASHLEY ROAD, ST PAULS, BRISTOL

Get Involved

The students make friends and come together and take part in discussions, events, and  at the church's Youth Programmes, and get together food and friendship.

Don't feel shy.  Everyone is welcome.  Come and say hello.
